• Own the month-end close for the company's primary division while partnering closely with the Corporate Controller. You'll be involved in all aspects of the process, from bank reconciliations and reviewing journal entries prepared by junior staff to consolidating financial statements and preparing specialized reporting for the CFO and C-suite.
• Post-Close Analysis & Specialized Reporting - Leverage your knack for analyzing the financials, identifying trends, and discussing your thoughts on financial performance with the Controller and CFO. You will also have the opportunity to leverage your technology skills as you team up with the corporate controller to build meaningful dashboards that will help leaders make critical business decisions in real time.
• Lead and develop the team. Mentor and train junior accounting staff while taking ownership of the more complex financial accounting work & reporting while reviewing the work of others handling more transactional responsibilities.
• Tackle meaningful projects tied to business process automation as the company continues to expand.
• Partner with external CPAs on audit requests and help implement new accounting standards.
