Role Description

The Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hollywood, FL. This role is responsible for preparing, issuing, and tracking invoices, ensuring accurate and timely billing for clinical trial activities and related services. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring accounts receivable, reconciling payment records, following up on outstanding balances, and managing debt collection processes in a professional and compliant manner. The specialist will collaborate with finance and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies, maintain detailed documentation, and support reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners. The role also involves responding to billing inquiries, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements that enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to review financial data, reconcile accounts, and identify discrepancies efficiently.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles related to accounts receivable, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with sponsors, CROs, internal teams, and patients regarding billing and payments.
• Proficiency in invoicing processes, including generating, verifying, and tracking invoices within billing systems.
• Experience with debt collection practices, including follow-up on outstanding balances while maintaining respectful, compliant interactions.
• Proficiency with accounting or ERP software and MS Excel; comfort working with spreadsheets and financial reports.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple billing cycles and deadlines.
• Experience in healthcare, clinical research, or a regulated industry is beneficial.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Bilingual required.
• Research experience heavily preferred.
